Simple Roasted Asparagus
1 lb. asparagus
1/2 TBSP salted butter
pinch coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 450ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Snap off the tough ends from the asparagus. Place in a single layer on the baking sheet. Dot with bits of butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for 12 minutes. Devour.

If you don't want to use butter, spray the asparagus with Pam olive oil. Delicious!
ReplyDeleteAsparagus is one of the few *green* vegetables I enjoy. This post reminds me that I don't eat enough of it and need to change that.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite side dishes! The only difference is that I drizzle extra virgen olive oil instead of the butter. I will have to try butter next time. It looks great!

ReplyDeleteI HATED asparagus until I tried it like this. It is a.maz.ing. I always make it with olive oil and sea salt So yummy!!
